Although modern cars requires very little maintenance, there are still some things you’ll need to do occasionally rather than just bring it to the garage. Sometimes it is not convenient to bring your car to the workshop, other times, you could be on a trip. Rather than give your car to someone you don’t know and might rip you off, you can do simple maintenance yourself.

Simple things like replacing light bulbs, checking the tire pressure, making sure the coolants levels are sufficient are simple things you can do yourself. The other reason for knowing how to do these things is you could just have a service done and it will be quite a while before you bring your car back to the workshop. It will also save you a some money since these repairs are quite simple to do.

Some repairs will be too difficult to do yourself if you don’t have the right tools like changing the fan belt of a modern car but at least you’ll know how to inspect them from time to time to ensure they don’t break at the worst possible time.
