BMW will be launching a MINI Diesel Cooper! Yes, that right. It is not a typo error. The Cooper D will have a 1.6L unit, generating a respectable 110 bhp (just 5 bhp less than the original Cooper petrol model). This equates to a 0-100 km/h time of 9.9 seconds and a maximum speed of 195 km/h (121 mph).
The One D is powered by a 1.4 L 95 bhp unit, pushing it to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 10.9 seconds and to a top speed of 185 km/h (115 mph). Although many people are looking for fuel efficient cars today, I think this is one car not for me. Not because it is a diesel. Not because I hate the planet. Not because I have too much money in my pockets, but a car like the MINI, gives a kind of rush shifting gears at 6,000 rpm
