Grand Livina Impul
Sometime ago, Nissan decided to put the word “sporty” into a MPV. While we know that Nissan is more than capable of producing rocket on wheel aka the GTR aka Godzilla, making a Livina Impul “sporty” is a different ball game. However, I’m sure there are enough enthusiastic drivers around who can’t afford another car, yet need the people carrying capacity of a MPV.
And so the Impul tuned Grand Livina was ahem …. (hacked together) created. At the moment, the Grand Livina Impul is only available in Malaysia. The parts that went into a standard Livina is as follows
:-
- a lowered and tuned suspension
- complete aerokit consisting of a front and rear bumper spoiler, side skirts
- trademark rear wing spoiler
- a new grille Impul badges are provided on the spoilers, the grille and also one for the rear door.
- stainless steel Impul Blast II exhaust muffler, said to improve engine response
- 17” alloy wheels with Dunlop D 01 tires.
Oh, off course the most important thing of all. Impul stickers everywhere. Okay, after all this exercise, how’s the driving impression. With a lowered and tuned suspension, the immediate effect is felt by the driver no doubt. Cornering is sharper and so in turn in. Some find it a little too hard for a people carrier like the Grand Livina but then this is subjective. Different people have different level of “too hard”. It also depends on where you usually drive. Anyhow, the complete package is around RM 10,000 more than the standard Grand Livina.
