LED Flashlight

A LED flashlight is a useful emergency tool to keep in you car. If you have a breakdown at night, you can signal for help, warn others that your car is parked on the roadside. With a LED flashlight, you might be able to do minor repairs and be on your way.

While it is tempting to stick with normal flashlight, the brightness goes down very quickly, unless you use expensive alkaline batteries. Since it most cases, your flashlight is kept for emergencies, many people find that the batteries are already weak when you need them. Once you switched on your flashlight, these batteries would not last more than 2 hours before it starts to dim.

Get a LED flashlight and get rid of older tungsten bulb flashlight. It consumes less electricity and therefore have a much better battery life. It also provides for brighter light. A LED flashlight is especially ideal for the car. If it is possible, get those that come with a magnetic base. It allows you to work on the engine bay with your hands free. Alternatively, you can get a LED headlamp. Such headlamp like the one in the photo below allows you do work with your hands freely while being able to see what you are doing. These type of LED flashlight might not be the coolest flashlight to put on but they certainly are useful especially for emergencies.

Get one where you can adjust the angle so that you can focus the light where you need it most.
