Most Efficient Two Seaters :
Mazda MX-5 2 Liter Manual in miles per gallon 25/30 mpg
Most Efficient Minicompact Car :
Volkswagen New Beetle Convertible 2.5 L, Manual 22/30 mpg
Most Efficient Subcompact Car :
Toyota Yaris 1.5 L, Manual 34/40 mpg
Most Efficient Compact Car :
Honda Civic Hybrid 1.3 L, Automatic(CVT) 49/51 mpg
Most Efficient Midsize Car :
Toyota Prius Hybrid 1.5 L, Automatic(CVT) 60/51 mpg
Most Efficient Large Car :
Hyundai Sonata 2.4 L, Manual 24/34 mpg
Most Efficient Small Station Wagon :
Honda Fit 1.5 L, Manual 33/38 mpg
I find in rather interesting that the Honda Fit is classified as a small station wagon but then it is the EPA (environmental protection agency) system. It is not surprising the overall winner of the “Most Fuel Efficient Cars” is non other than the Toyota Prius.
