Acabion Car?

Part automobile, part bike, part airplane would be what describes the Acabion best. Imagine a machine that at 110 mph is twice as efficient as a high-tech diesel compact car, or one that reaches 280 mph with just 50% throttle. Imagine no more for that is the Acabion.

With just a 1.3 litre Suzuki Hayabusa turbocharged engine and a body (weighing 400 kgs) built like a Formula 1 car, that could be the future of modern transportation. Without being bogged down with unnecessary weight and aerodynamic drag, high speed with low fuel consumption is possible. For even greener operation, at speeds up to 60km/h, the Acabion is powered by a 2.5kW electric motor.

Using side wheels that fold down a low speeds to keep the vehicle upright, and high speeds for safety in case of a slide, the Acabion also have ailerons will compensate for side wind effects. In addition, behind the co-drivers seat, a pendulum is integrated to assist in holding the vehicle upright without needing the driver to make any balance correction. The Acabion is designed by Lenka Mikova (design) and Peter Maskus (mechanics + electronics).

Much cooler that the Turbine Bike, cheaper and better fuel economy. I wonder however about side impact protection. In case it gets hit by an SUV or worst still by a truck, would the driver survive.
