Nissan Recalls

Nissan Motor Company announced the recalling of 130,000 cars of which 80,000 are in North America due to an ignition key defect. Approximately 70,000 Murano sport utility vehicles, manufactured between summer 2004 and July 2006, will be recalled in North America, along with 300 in Taiwan and 800 in Singapore, for possible repairs. Another 10,000 Maxima sedans sold in North America are included in the recall.

The good news is that none of the X-Trails or Murano are in Malaysia, so you can rest easy. Apparently, the cars that are affected are equipped with intelligent keys and do not shut off the engine in some instances.
