In a “back to basics” move, Nissan decided to sell a low end Versa i.e. Tiida or Latio in some countries. Before you get excited in getting a Nissan Versa for less than $10,000 ( $9,990 as reported by the LA Times), this one comes without power windows or even air conditioning!

While some car manufacturers are using the opposite strategy of fully loading a small car, others strip all the frills out. I’m thinking is any car manufacturer going to go the IKEA way? Take your flat folded car home in bits and pieces (car parts actually) and

assemble it yourself. Batteries not included. Food for thought.
