Eco Pedal

Eco Pedal sounds like a human powered vehicle of some sort. Mike sez it is an accelerator that pushes back. You think you normally stomp on the loud pedal to go fast? Well, Nissan plans to release this Eco Pedal, that pushes back if the car thinks you are accelerating unnecessarily based on road conditions etc.

Sounds like something straight out from Knight Rider. Nissan engineers says it can improve fuel efficiency between 5 to 10 percent. In case you worry whether you are driving the car or the car is driving you, the Eco Pedal can be switched off.
