Besides attractive villains with sometimes funny names, James Bond cars and car chases are parts that make the movies have a distinctive appeal with the boy in each man and woman. The high tech cars is one part that many look forward to the see as Mr. Bond battles the evil villains from taking control of the world by which ever means.
Among the list of James Bond cars, the well known ones are the Aston Martin, BMW, Saab and Lotus. Manufacturers of cars, watches, phones and other gadgets sponsors such items as part of marketing gaining world wide recognition. Partial list of the famous cars below.

Aston Martin DB5 – Goldfinger and other movies. The most famous of all James Bond cars, this car is the most heavily equipped. It has front and rear extending over-rider rams, .30 caliber Browning machine guns, retractable tire slashers, rear bullet proof screen concealed radio telephone, radar scanner in the wing mirror, tracking screen in the cockpit, passenger ejector seat, oil slick ejector, triple spiked nails (caltrops), cartridge for smoke screen released through the exhaust pipes, revolving number plates, under seat armaments drawer and off course, bullet-proof front and rear screens.
Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante – The Living Daylights. Extending side outriggers, spiked tires, missiles, lasers, signal-intercepting smart radio, head-up display and rocket propulsion.
Aston Martin V12 Vanquish – Die Another Day. An impressive “cloaking device” i.e. adaptive camouflage, which makes it invisible. Front-firing rockets, hood-mounted target-seeking guns, spiked tires, passenger ejector seat.

Aston Martin DBS V12 – Casino Royale. Secret compartments for James Bond’s Walther P99, and an emergency med kit and a small defibrillator.
BMW Z3 – GoldenEye, self-destruct system and stinger missiles.
BMW 750iL – Tomorrow Never Dies. Bullet proof, secure glove compartment, remote control from Nokia communicator cable cutters, self inflating tires. Off all the BMW’s the BMW 750iL is the one with the most gadgets shown and used.

Lotus Esprit S1 – The Spy Who Loved Me. One of the most interesting cars being able to transform into a submarine. Possesses surface-to-air missiles, rear-firing adhesive sprayers, depth charges, harpoons and a smoke screen. And also a movie when almost all the car’s tricks were used.
Saab 900 Turbo – License Renewed. Used during the time where fuel prices shot up, the James Bond franchise also choose a more fuel economical car, away from gas guzzling supercars like the Aston Martins and Lotuses.
The 900 Turbo was equipped with Halon 12 fire extinguishing system, fire-proofing, Head-Up display, remote text-messaging, mobile phone, external tear gas ducts, passenger cabin air filter to neutralize deadly gas, oxygen masks, “TH70 Nitefinder” night vision goggles, grenades, one Ruger Super Blackhawk, .44 Magnum revolver and Browning automatic handgun. Fully armor body, bullet proof glass, steel reinforced ram bumpers back and front, heavy-duty self sealing tires, side gun port, remote starter, rotating license plates, halogen fog lamps, and aircraft headlight hidden behind front license plate.

This is the third heavily equipped car besides the Aston Martin DB5 and the BMW 750iL.
